One of Lady Rainicorn's most notable characteristics is that she doesn't speak English, and without Jake serving as translator — or using a translation device like she does in the episode "My Two Favorite People" — Finn isn't able to understand her.
Lady Rainicorn always speaks in Korean. Her two kids, T. V and Jake Jr. If the voice of BMO, Jake and Finn's sentient video game console, sounds familiar, that will be because she is also voiced by Niki Yang.
BMO was at first going to have a regular computer-synthesized voice and luckily they decided better. Instead, they hired Yang who used her normal speaking voice for the role with a few changes. Therefore, it was almost possible that fans would have lost one of the most unique sounding characters on the show. Therefore, in the episode "My Two Favourite People", Jake wanted Finn and Lady Rainicorn to get to know each other better and they used a universal translator device.
To everyone's great amusement, she spoke in a range of weird voices with her finally settling on an old man one.
