I've had to do so a few times over the years and they are very good to deal with. This company does not deal in scams. It's no different from others that will contact you with discounts on other products they offer.
In fact, you may find that at some point, one of the other plugins they make will be useful to you and at the discounted price will make you happy.
You don't have to buy anything if you don't want to. So you can't figure out how to make it work so it must be a scam and DPR should be ashamed? Amazing how many other people have been able to make it work just fine. If you don't like it, delete it.
Many of us find it works just fine, especially if you take a few minutes to actually learn how to use it. To install to PS 6. Turn off Norton for the period of the installation and then turn it back on. Crashes should disappear. Are you say that it installs, but when you run it, it crashes?
If so, you may have to initialize the plugin using file-automate instead of the usual panel. I've been using OnOne software for years and oddly enough it can sometimes be a little twitchy. I myself find it doesn't crash PSCS6 but simply the plugin starts to initialize but never does when accessing from the panel. Oddly, this version installs beside my previous version happily and it has no issues. And after using PE8 for a while, this is the only twitch I've encountered which is good.
I'm not fond of crashes. Can anyone tell me how to download it on a second computer which is allowed according to the licence. I am not sure where to enter the key without going through the entire process again - not that it takes very long. You have to download it and install it on each system. I suppose you could copy the file to a USB stick I and transfer it instead of re-downloading it.
Install it on the second computer, run the application and it will ask you to enter the licence code just like you did in the first computer Is there anyone here who already had the older version of their full suite v7 or 7. If so, what was your experience? Was it worth the upgrade fee in your opinion?
I just downloaded it and had a go with it. Some very useful filters there. While installing I got a pop-up that my video card was not sufficient to run the program. I clicked OK and I figured the install would abort. But it continued and the program runs perfectly.
Wow, I'm very impressed! I'm glad I saw this post and downloaded it!!! It runs as a standalone application as well, so you can save to tiff and access it that way or use it as an external editor for Lightroom or ACDSee Pro 7. Very Cool thanks.. Can you imagine Adobe doing that, ever?
Well done a million times over OnOne! An upgrade to 8 Gig of ram would cost, what? Think of it as a special deal! I've been a customer of OnOne for many years.
A while back they emailed me and said I've been a good customer over the years so they wanted to offer me PE8 for free. I was quite happy with the previous version. Well, not everything that's fee is worth it but I knew this would be and it is pretty slick.
You better pay attention to the minimum and recommended computer requirements though. I am a little peeved that it's now free for everyone but that's only because that doesn't make me a special long term customer anymore. Just kidding. Enjoy it everyone. Don't wait before it's not free anymore though even the regular price is pretty fair. This is just one of multiple modules. They're hoping that you'll buy additional modules, but you don't have to.
The frequent offers to upgrade to the full system. You are now a captive audience for their entire product line. It is hard to resist since PE8 is so good and the discounts are also nice. But, I have not nibbled yet. There is one catch, at some point they will come to their senses. Then we will all have to upgrade to the latest version for money because PE8 won't run on Win 9 and then they all retire on the proceeds from that instant financial windfall.
Sneaky, aren't they? Why are so many people so negetive about something free?? For oneOne this is just a way to get people to buy the full suyite. I have used PE8 for some time and thought it would be enough which is will be for a lot of people. I got this for free in the last promotion. It offers REAL value; and it isn't just some outdated, elderly software that has been recompiled to run on a modern system. Is it worth the hefty price tag?

Will the new Raw Editor provide a preset for initial adjustments for raw files being edited? That is, is the new Raw Editor smart enough to analyze the raw image being loaded and provide for initial automatic adjustments?
And will it allow for a user defined preset to be specified instead of any initial automatic preset? All of those allow for the selection of a single specific color and at the ability to adjust the HSL values for that color. I am not referring to the HSL Panel where a user can select one of 6 or 7 or 8 colors but the ability to point to a specific color in an image and then adjust for that color.
Will the new Raw Editor contain such functionality? I would love the RAW software to include a depp and full managmente of Luminosity Masks and similar concept of working on 10 digital zones. That would be amazing and unbelievable plus, that woul bit LR and C1 , the two stronger competitors, which are lacking in that field.
I would like to reduce a large number of pics to email size without having to crop or confirm for each photo. I love yor software and hope Photo Raw will be available before November. Would like the ability to save any number of adjustment brush settings that could readily be selected. Hope this makes sense. Would be a great addition to local adjustment functionality, I believe! Hi everybody. It has been mentioned about Import Presets … but it would be also nice to have Export Presets.
All the mentioned options are essential for me. Regarding Watermarking — in case your Software will have such option, I hope that will be possible to add a graphic Watermark in its original size. Regarding Renaming — in LR it is possible to create a Rename preset with many options.
Very handy feature. Thanx a million for considering mentioned points! Kind regards! To be able to sort the preset list manually would allow me to put my most used groups of presets at the top of the list.
It would be great if when you back out of a particular group of presets it would display the preset list at the same location on the list where you were when you selected it and not go back to the top where you then have to scroll back down to where you were.

Fuji X-Trans Processing — We see this request almost everyday. Photographers want great processing from their Fuji X-Trans sensors. It uses a unique one that requires a special debayering algorithm. This is something that we will start work on this winter and will be part of a free update next year.
Main, color corrected screen, for editing — full screen photo. All the toolboxes are one the second screen! It would be great to let you put the controls on one display and large preview on the main display or to have thumbnails on one and big preview on the other.
Well, yes they are. Photoshop compresses PSDs. However, all this may be moot as well. Most of the time all of your edits will be stored as instructions, taking almost no space, and your original photo will be left untouched.

Versions — Call them versions, snapshots or virtual copies they all serve the same function, to have multiple settings for the same photo without having to make a copy of the original. This is a really handy feature to many and one that we will be adding as part of a free update in the Winter. Please include it. We are definitely working on that now and it will be in the fall release of Photo RAW.
